The NDI TW:A detachment will activate during open beta. There are no tag requirements, and no obligations for enlisted. There will be weekly or monthly cash prizes for team leaders that bring victories to their group. We do not accept donations.

  1. We welcome friendly teams/clans/regiments to join our community so that we may create events with weekly cash prizes that encourage teamwork and gives incentive to leaders.

  2. We are seeking humble newcomers that want to learn DRILL PROCEDURE, LEADERSHIP, and THE APPLICATION OF FORMATIONS.

  3. We are also seeking mature experts in Total War: Arena that are willing to teach DRILL PROCEDURE, LEADERSHIP, and THE APPLICATION OF FORMATIONS to the TW:A player-base.

The NDI mission is to improve the way that players communicate by implicitly teaching about communication, leadership, and accountability in an environment free of bullying. My life's work is to apply behavior analysis procedures to virtual communities.

Anyone can apply to become an instructor. If you have at least sergeant-level experience as a cadet or military personnel, then you instantly qualify! The group page is under reconstruction.

HOW TO PARTICIPATE

1. Register:

http://steamcommunity.com/groups/napoleonicdrillinstructors/discussions
There are no fees to register! Officers will POST a discussion thread at the link and wait for activation. Activation occurs when your registration has passed inspection according to the guidelines below. When activated, your post will be locked and updated with your records. Changes to your roster after activation will require administrator assistance. The event will be scheduled after 8 platoon registrations have been activated. It will continue for 12 weeks after that point. The registration options are as follows:

Officers:
POST your platoon registration in our discussion boards with your platoon name as the title. Also include your regiment affiliation, game list, names of 1-2 sergeants (people that you trust as managers) , accountability agreement, your in-game name, and any other pertinent information. (Every officer in your regiment will need to post their own platoon.)

Sergeants:
COMMENT under the officer that vouches for you to register your squad. Write your squad name, the names 3 to 6 rankers (trusted players that don't grief or troll), responsibility agreement, your in-game name, and any other pertinent information in your comment.

Draft:

When the event begins, officers must remain in the EVENT channel with their microphones activated within the Ardez discord server.

Anyone that wants to be team captain will create a party and, among those in the discord channel, invite one officer and one of his sergeants. Make use of their records in the NDI registry to influence your decision.

Briefing:
Each team leader will be accountable for his event. He will delegate roles, (tank, support, damage,) to his sergeant and his allied officer, so as to transfer responsibility. The sergeant must accept his role, but the allied officer and his subordinate do not need to follow orders. Things that will be recorded:

Lieutenant and Captain:
• Win/loss ratio: (Round-end replay reported by the victorious 1st sergeant)
The record of wins and losses throughout your career as an officer.

• Orders denied: (audio and/or video replay of their voice by captain and others)

A record of every instance that you ignored or rejected an order from your team captain.

• AWOLs: (Round replay  reported by 1st sergeant)

A record of every instance that a player, registered under you, did not show up to an event.

• Desertions: (Round replay reported by 1st sergeant)

A record of every instance that a player, registered under you, that has left the event before the final screenshot.

• Complaints: (Reported anonymously by anyone)

A record of formal complaints about you, filed anonymously by your men or other officers.

Captain only:
• Captain ratio: (Round-end replay reported by the victorious 1st sergeant)
The record of wins and losses while acting as a team captain.

• Tokens: (Reported through the sum of evidence)

Awarded to the victorious Captain and subtracted from the defeated captain. Redeemable for steamcard or cash via PayPal.

• Casualties: (All round-end screenshots reported by any sergeant)

The record of all commanders that have lost all units under your command as captain.

• Suspensions: (Reported by other officers)

Every instance in which you were suspended from captain eligibility.

Play:
Under construction

Debriefing:

during this time, the enlisted can review their officers and suggest new records to be imposed upon them.

Send me the replay so that I can update the permanent records.

After the victorious captain has completely substantiated his victory to me, he will get a "Token." He then has the choice of saving or redeeming his tokens.

If the victory was quick and profitable, then the token value will be $20 USD for that day.
If the victory was long and costly, then the token value will be $5 USD for that day. He can redeem up to 2 tokens a day, and can receive the prize through Paypal or Steam card.
