We all know Scipio Oath is OP even if we wolnt admit it right?

Scipio's oath is completely broken. It has always been for a long time and I know the answer scipio players will say ..."just disengage". Well that's just a weak answer imo. This forum has had post after post about how broken it is demonstrating that it is not just a question of knowing how to disengage. What other unit can move as quick, engage with a charge, kill moral and then sit there in combat surrounded by enemies(13 I have seen before) and be able to slug it out. If that's how the unit should work then I need to rethink playing this game because games overloaded with scipio's are getting boring. Dogs helped to neutralize this but then it seems to have gotten nerfed.3 dogs and 3 handlers will get crushed by 1 cav unit...Y? 

 

If I attack 1 unit of scipio horse with 3 infantry units that would be 300% more attack, how does an 80% boost in defense account for holding that off? I could see that in a 1-1 scipio cav should win every time, but in 2v1 + how does it make sense that scipios +60 moral results in an unbreakable moral?

It is silly, among other things in this game.

 

It wouldn't be a problem to disengage if morale wasn't also broken. Disengaging means your units turn their back and instantly rout.

You can turn around and as soon as your guys have done their 180, you press F to charge out.

How to defeat Oath of unrealistic perseverance as Rome infantry: save and use your vengeance. I have a T8 Germanicus with full upgrade for vengeance whose purpose is to hand Scipio a good death in his Oath. Never spend all vengeance unless dire. Save one for Scipio.

 

For cavalry: withdraw or not engage.

I'm saying there can't be 1 skill like Germ vengeance that you have to have to be successful against Scipio. I just played 2 Scipio's and engaged all 6 units with them being sent in one at a time, so I had to engage disengage 6 times to avoid oath death and was still handled oath death. It was comical/depressing. How can 3 full dog units 3 full handlers not be able to handle 1 Scipio unit(cav or inf) w oath that is completely surrounded? 

 

Withdrawing from Scipio cav w oath is not exactly easy for roman inf either

Oath is completely broken with Triarii. With oath my charge deflect exceeds the charge impact of every roman cavalry unit up to T9 Praetorian Cavalry, so even when they rear charge me they literally do 0 damage and get stopped in their tracks.

The oath concept is great but the implementation of that concept just appears to be broken. Either they should work to fix it or move in a new direction.

That's another reason no one is playing vercingetroix. You get charged to dead in half of the games. Not to mention one can save 5000 free xp.

Scipio still has issues? Oath is easy to deal with but I still feel that it should return to the old Oath (from Steam I believe) where your units are locked in place.

​That should be don for sure. An just make the math work, i.e.an 80% D bonus and +60 Moral should not stop you from being routed and take virtually no damage in a 3+v1.

Needs a duration and/or a stats nerf.  Ridiculous atm.  Saw a cav guy get 900 kills using it over and over and he wasn't even good.
